Terms of Service for Bifrost

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Bifrost! By accessing or using the Bifrost mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Bifrost ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the App.

3.1 Creating an Account

To use Bifrost, you must create an account by providing:

• A valid email address
• A secure password
• A unique username (3-20 characters, alphanumeric and underscore only)

You may also register using:

• Sign in with Apple

3.2 Email Verification

You must verify your email address before you can send messages in the App. We will send a verification code to your email address. Without verification, certain features will be restricted.

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Signing out of your account when using shared devices

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account.

4. Subscription Terms

4.3 Premium Benefits

• 100 messages with all characters
• No daily or total message limits
• Access to all current and future personality types
• Access to all current and future languages
• Priority support

4.4 Auto-Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your iTunes account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions

4.5 Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time via iOS Settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• You will continue to have premium access until the end of the paid period
• No refunds for partial periods or unused time
• After cancellation, your account reverts to free tier limits

4.6 Free Trials

Free trials may be offered at our discretion. You must cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Only one free trial per user/account. Trials convert to paid subscriptions automatically unless cancelled.

4.7 Price Changes

We may adjust subscription prices at any time. Price changes will not affect existing subscriptions until renewal. You will be notified of price changes in advance. Continued use after price change constitutes acceptance.

5. User Conduct

5.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the App
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Attempt to bypass subscription limits or payment systems
• Share accounts with others
• Use automated systems or bots to interact with the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without permission

5.2 Content Restrictions

While using the App, you agree not to:

• Attempt to manipulate the AI to generate inappropriate content
• Use the characters for illegal activities
• Share offensive or hateful content
• Violate intellectual property rights

6. AI-Generated Content

6.1 Nature of AI Responses

• Bifrost uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate character responses
• AI responses are generated based on personality types and user messages
• Characters respond "in-character" according to their assigned personality

6.3 Content Moderation

• We implement system prompts to ensure character-appropriate and safe responses
• However, we cannot guarantee 100% control over AI output

7. Your Content and Data

7.1 Ownership

• You retain ownership of messages you send to characters
• We retain ownership of the App, characters, and personality systems
• AI responses are generated content and subject to Anthropic's terms

7.2 Privacy

• Your conversations are private and not shared with other users
• We do not sell your data to third parties

7.3 Data Deletion

• You can delete your account and all data at any time via Settings → Delete Account
• Deletion is permanent and irreversible
• Deleted data cannot be recovered

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

The App and all content, features, and functionality are owned by Bifrost and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

This includes:

• The Bifrost name and logo
• Character personality systems
• App design and interface
• System prompts and AI personality frameworks

8.2 License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

8.3 Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices
• Use our trademarks without permission

9. Termination

9.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time via the App settings.

9.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse the service or other users
• Violate laws or regulations
• Remain inactive for an extended period

9.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your access to the App will be revoked immediately
• Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy
• Outstanding subscription charges remain due
• Sections of these Terms that should survive will continue to apply

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bifrost, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of others
• Your violation of applicable laws

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12.2 Arbitration

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

12.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis only, and waive the right to participate in class actions or class arbitrations.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms in the App
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending you an in-app notification or email

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

The App uses third-party services:

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bifrost regarding the App.
